These are designed to hug your ear. The large size is for the first hole and the small size is for the second hole or possibly upper piercing.
Made from sterling silver and cubic zirconia. One modeled photo is gold but these are available in silver or rose gold. Hoops may be tighter or looser than photo depending on the size of your ears and location of your earring hole. My first hole fits a little larger and second hole fits the same as the gold photo (sterling silver modeled photo is how they fit me)
